Our appropriate response to God's revelation of Himself to us. New Testament worship is a lifestyle expressed in spirit and in truth. John 4:23 & 24

Statement of Faith

The Inspired Scriptures

We believe the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man; and the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. 2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21

God in Three Persons

We believe the one true God has revealed Himself as being the eternally self-existent Creator of heaven and earth.  He has further revealed Himself as a Trinity, that is, one Being existing in three Persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 14:16-17

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God as revealed in the Scriptures by His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead and His position at the right hand of God. Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:31, Luke 1:35

Creation and Fall of Man

We believe that man was created good and upright.  However, man willfully sinned and thereby was subjected not only to physical death, but also to spiritual death, which is separation from God. Genesis 1:26, 27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19

Salvation

We believe man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7

The Ordinances

Water Baptism:

We believe the ordinance of baptism by immersion in water is commanded of all who repent and believe on Christ as Savior.  It represents having died with Christ and being raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47, 48, Romans 6:4

Communion:

We believe the Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming.  It is commanded of all believers “until He comes.”       2 Peter 1:4, 1 Corinthians 11:26, 1 Corinthians 11:26

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe all Christians are entitled to and should seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues according to Acts 2:4.  This experience gives a born-again believer power to be a witness for Christ by his/her life and words. Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31

Sanctification

We believe sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil and of dedication unto God. Romans 12:1, 2, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 13:12

The Priesthood of all Believers and the vision of the church as contained in Ephesians 4:11- 16

Every member in the body of Christ is gifted and called into ministry. The church seeks to help people discover their gifts and callings and equip them for ministry in the family, the church, the community, and the world.

Second Coming of Christ

We believe the blessed hope of the Church is Christ’s return to earth from heaven to receive the Christians who have died, together with those who are alive, to be with Him forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, 1 Corinthians 15:51, 52

Divine Healing

We believe deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement and is the privilege of all believers by faith. Isaiah 53:4, 5, Matthew 8:16, 17, James 5:14-16

End-Time Events

We believe Christ will return with His saints to establish a 1,000 year reign of peace.  After this, comes the final judgment to the wicked, and then a new heaven and a new earth. Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43-48, Revelation 19:20, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:8

The New Heavens and the New Earth

We, according to His promise, look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells. 2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21, Revelation 22
